Extra-curricular activity (ECA) or Extra-academic activity (EAA) sets the tone of Campus Life
at G.Venkataswamy Naidu College (GVNC). The College aims to provide holistic learning
involving curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The college has installed
many avenues for students to hone their passions, improve their creative abilities and develop
their interpersonal skills. It also allows students to network, represent GVNC, and become
engaged in service activities both on-campus and off-campus.
The Extracurricular Activities Committee ensures that students utilize the installed resources
to explore and develop extracurricular skills outside the curriculum. It helps build a holistic
career by nurturing technical skills, creative skills, and soft skills such as communication,
teamwork, public speaking, and emotional intelligence.
The College organizes various activities under NSS, NCC, YRC, and Student Clubs for the overall
development of the students.
The main objectives are:
1. To provide opportunities for the students to participate in activities as an extension of the academic activities.
2. To inculcate good governance and develop skills through teamwork and organizing various activities and camps.
3. To promote civic, cultural, social, and moral welfare of the communities thereby demonstrating good citizenship.
4. To organize cultural activities as per the Academic Calendar.
5. To encourage students to join and coordinate various clubs.
6. To organize activities like NSS/NCC, blood donation, and relief camps.
7. To encourage the use of sports and games facilities.
8. To select teams to represent the college in tournaments.
9. To help students prepare Annual Reports for sports and cultural activities.
10. To increase cordial relations between students and faculty through exhibition games.
