About Department

We are following outcome Based Education (OBE) from the year 2020, when we got Autonomous status. An Outcome Based Education Monitoring Council was framed for the effective implementation of OBE. The Convener and Members regularly monitor the Lesson plans preparion and Attainment calculations. The target for the attainment is fixed by the Head of Departments and other higher officials through a brainstorming session based on the complexity of the subject and quality of the students. The internal and external weightage is fixed as 25%: 75%. We conduct two Internal Assessments and give Other Assessment tools like Seminar, Quiz or Presentation to calculate the internal marks with weightage 20%.The Assignment & Quiz or Presentation have the weightage of 5% and End Semester marks will be taken for External Assessment with weightage 75%. If % of CO attainment is 100, the level is 3 and it is called the CO score. The lesser percentage will have CO scores of 2, 1, etc. The Course outcome Scores for all courses are multiplied by the correlated mapping score of POs and PSOs with correlation levels 1, 2, and 3. Each PO/PSO's average value is considered as the final attainment of the respective course.
The final attainment of PO/PSO will be derived from two components as follows:
1. Direct attainment (90%) is obtained by taking the averages of all CO-PO and CO-PSO Attainment matrices defined for all courses (all semesters)
2. Indirect attainment (10%) is obtained by Attainment values of PO/PSO surveys like Student Exit Surveys, Alumni and Parent feedback Surveys.
