About Department

The Department of Commerce (Professional Accounting) was established in the academic year 2017–2018 with an approved intake of 64 students under the affiliation of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. The program is designed to develop into a centre of educational excellence by nurturing the professional skills and competencies essential for students to become highly effective professionals. It provides a comprehensive accounting curriculum that meets the academic requirements for pursuing a chartered accountancy qualification. The department promotes knowledge, skills, positive attitudes, and ethical values through innovative and interactive teaching methods, ensuring that students are well-prepared to excel in a rapidly changing business environment.

    • Educate the students with required levels of accounting and auditing competence for employment in both domestic and global market. Promote the students to work as free launchers and work separately by taking assignments from small ventures for maintaining their accounts. Renovate the students into dynamic entrepreneurs for the betterment of society. Bridge the gap between academia and the corporate sector by offer updating courses and activities.
